Well, research, research published in April in the Journal of Nature Communications addresses the question. Does the brain begin as a blank slate and build memories by adding connections by way of experiences or does it come pre-wired? And scientists, they focused on the hippocampus area. And this was the corneur amino, amino 3, which is referred to as the Acron Ca3. That has a role in storing and recalling memory. Plasticity allows neurons in the Ca3 to constantly strengthen and weaken their connections. And this results in strengthening and weakening of memory. And researchers looked at most brain tissues, collected shortly after birth, adolescence, and into adult strophin.
