It's got to be above 70 degrees inside the radio case before it starts to operate on transmit. And that's not why I have to get fixed right away because it's unreliable. I can't just pick up the mic and call out. I have to warm it up first. So I know it's got a cold solder joint somewhere, maybe a crack in the solder or something because if it's intermittent, that's definitely an indicator of how it's behaving. So I plan on taking it out of the vehicle and taking the soldering on it to all the connections back there. And hopefully I'll get lucky and that will correct it. So it's an old ICOM IC-207.
