The sun came out in the afternoon. We just spent the rest of the day outside in the backyard. I did some work in the garden. And the girls did some art projects. And then after dinner, we took the dog for a long walk in the woods. It was quite delightful. In keeping with the French connection that's going on tonight. Tomorrow, my girls convinced me we're going to try to make macarons. This will be our first attempt at this. They've been wanting to do it for a while. And I've been learning to bake alongside them. It's been fun. But I gather that this is one of those things where the recipe is deceptively simple. And it's kind of all about the techniques that probably take years to a really master. So I expect we're going to learn a lot. We'll see how it goes. But they want pink macarons. And they're going to then write on them. Welcome home, mom. It's the idea.
