In 1974 when my oldest friend called me and asked me if I wanted to join him on a trip to Alaska in November. And while I told him I'd have to sleep on it. And the next day I told him, yeah, count me in. I quit my job. Well, actually I took a leave of absence from my job. I was an alarm installer with Honeywell in the Chicago area. And he described the road very well there in 1973. I think he said, yeah, half of it was still gravel and dusty and windy. I'll tell you, he wouldn't recognize it now. There's so many straightaways and it's all mainly paid with nice orange center lines. And yeah, it's a different road now, not like it used to be. And I'll see you in the next one. Bye.
