Shockingly, the phase change from water to mist or evaporation actually takes energy, and that cools you down. If the humidity is too high, it doesn't matter what you do. You know, swamp coolers, mists, wind, ain't going to be doing much. So let's not be like, sorry, Miss Irene, over there in Great Britain and avoid their conditioners.
