Alright, I think it's a new net of one, station 87VE. Robert, how are you doing this afternoon? Go ahead, please. Hey, good afternoon. Yeah, just thought I would check in. I am testing out a new antenna, which is a thing I often do, but it seems to be working well. I'm watching the Vodascope and see it making it in well, so happy to see that. I'm going to be heading out on Thursday for a camping trip and want to do a few SOTA and PODA activations, so I'm trying this out and see how it works. So, thanks for the radio check and 73, 87VE. Alright, real quick. Hey, can you tell us what antenna and ring you'll be using for SOTA and PODA activations coming up and what frequency are you most likely to use? Are you doing RF or are you doing HF? What are you doing there, if you have a second? Sure, yeah, I think I will be using a lot of HF and that I have a G90 and I have for that I have a vertical whip antenna and I also have a N-FET wire, so I'll use a mix of that. On two meters, I just got this N9-TAX, which is a roll-up J-Pole. I think that'll be nice to be able to pack into a backpack and a few of the higher summits I'm hoping to make that work on, but yeah, we'll see how it goes. The radio I have now is an ICV 3500, so I'm hoping with this at 65 watts I can make it back. I'm going to go up to Darrington area, so there's a mountain called Seward Mountain, which is like, I think it's like 6,000 feet and hoping I can make contacts back to the Seattle area from there. I'll send it back to you. This is Robert, 87WE. How far do you say the mountain is? You said it was 65 miles. I said it was 6,500 feet of elevation. The distance, I'm not sure off the top of my head. It's up on Highway 2, North Cascades area. Okay, well I've made RF hops from 1,900 feet from the Gulf Islands, so that's 94 miles roughly, so yeah, you should be able to do that. Well hey, good luck, and if you do get a chance, if you think of us during the activations there, and it's right around the new net time or any of our other nets, then pop in and say hello and tell us how it's going if you would. All right, Robert, good day. You have a great Tuesday. Let's see who else is out there for the new net 1203. I'm Jack, KI7R. If you'd like to join us, come in, call, sign, and name.
