I thought you called me to the station before me. But, in fact, I started talking and I said, hmm, maybe not. But anyway, um, good evening, Ms. Shorter, thank you for running the vet. You know, you do it so well and professionally. You know, by proper etiquette and everything. Anyway, um, my eye surgery for this Saturday was cancelled. By not me, but somebody. So anyway, I'm getting it done on September 5th. My left eye. In October 3rd, my right eye. Hopefully, by November, I'll have good eyes. So anyway, that makes it well for me because I'm taking the extra class one more time. If I don't get it this time, I'm going to stay very instinctive and general. You know, I just can't keep doing this, you know. But anyway, I was sleeping. I woke up and I saw it was time to talk on the best diet in the world. So I went up and called the nurse and said, how do you get this mask off? So I can talk. So Ms. Jones, you have a wonderful night and a better tomorrow. This is Casey 2, SDO. That thing had control. Over. Well, Charlie, I know that you, I think you had mentioned that you wanted to have an extra so you could be a VE and be able to administer all license classes. But you still can be a VE with a general, although you can only be a volunteer examiner folks for technician class license. But that's most of the license applications. You know, that's still, I don't know what your club or your VE group is like. But you know, having, you know, be able to have extra help, you know, doing the volume of tech licensees is still useful. And of course, you get more privileges with an extra class or even my advanced class. But it's really a flex because you get most of the privileges with a general class license. You just can't get just a few corners of the HF bands. But you know, I always recommend that people get their general class license because that gives you most of the privileges with amateur radio. You know, you're not restricted to, you know, just a few tokens and pieces of HF. And you know, if people stop in general, there's, one of my brothers is a general. Clay went and flexed and got his extra class. But there's absolutely nothing wrong with general class license. That's the name of the license, the general class license. You know, I would love to see more people get their general. You know, and more people don't. Most people just have the technician class, the basic license. What's going on has got to be... Oh yeah, they do. Just one eye at a time because, you know, the success rate is good on those eye operations. But you do want to do both eyes at the same time because in case something goes wrong, you don't want to lose both of them. Steve, Mr. Charlie, I will get you to that point. And last on the list is Joel, KK7ZBX. Joe, please give us your report. Joel Willis. So I was returning from a visit to San Diego. My wife and I went down to visit our daughter. And so a happy pet note, they have a new dog and this dog is awesome. They love him. My daughter and her boyfriend love that dog so I think we know. Yeah, it was really nice. They had a little warm. Not a bad day but the Pacific down there is 70F. They can jump in there and survive with a wetsuit and it would be awesome to kind of ride the surf a little bit. And I'm not going to go without hypothermia. And flying back here, it was warmer when we landed here on Sunday. It was good to be back. So I wanted to test the HD, make sure it's towards. And nobody else is out on. And thanks, Joan. Back to net control, KK7ZBX. Fine business, Joel. Yeah, San Diego. Visit your daughter and her bow and their dog. Wetsuit surfing. You know, I know from my reading that San Diego is, surfing is immensely popular there. And if you are wetsuit surfing, believe it or not, and I witnessed it when I lived in the Amber Peninsula, but people will surf on Lake Superior. In Marquette, Michigan, there were a number of dedicated wetsuit surfers. In fact, I've even heard of people surfing in a surprise suit. That's how cold Lake Superior is. So, anyway, thank you for that excellent report, Joel. And I will catch you on the walk. Operator 15, report number 12. Alright, so, let's see, I'm going to start a third round. This is Joel KX2CW in Seattle, Washington, on Broadway Avenue. In Capitol Hill, which is the most urban neighborhood in Seattle there is. And perched in the, looking out of my window from what I have sometimes called the Capitol Hill Behavioral Observatory. Uh oh, sirens. Sirens, where are they going? So, I'm going to take some more check-ins, if I can hear them. The sirens, are they going to come by? I'm going to try to listen through them. Okay, all stations, please. Kilo Bravo 7 Sierra Delta Mike Ryan, in and out. Alright, Kilo Bravo 7 Sierra Delta Mike Ryan, I-O, I've got your I-O, thank you. Let me know that you're out there. Um, more stations, please. That's Derek of Monroe. Alright, Derek of Monroe, I'm right down in. And all I heard was a 7 and there's a doubling station. But, uh, I'm, I'm scribbling. And, uh, who was the station that was doubling with Derek? Alpha Gold 7 Lima Romeo Cody with an I-O. Hey there, Cody, I've got your I-O, your station 18 in the log. Thank you for stopping by. More stations, please. K-E 7 KZH Bryan. Bryan, sorry that you didn't come to the Rain or Shine Ice Cream Social in Green Lake, but I'm just glad you're out there. Folks, Bryan, as many know, is our Sunday night set control operator. Alright, um, more stations, please. KF 5 WYB, her, now with the exits. Suburb! Alright, DX for statement. Oh, Galveston, I'm always hearing Glenn Campbell singing that whenever I hear you say it. Alright, um, more stations, please. Kilo 7 Charlie here at Gulf, Bryan with an R, I-O. Alright, uh, different Ryan with an R. KK 7 CSG, alright. Um, I've got your I-O, Ryan. And you're, I didn't look at the border scope as you were giving your report, but, uh, you were noisy.
