You don't have to wait for it to drop. You can just wait for the pip and you won't time it out. Care stays up. But as long as the carrier stays up, this radio sits fine. I'll maintain all of my parameters that I'm using to receive this station, including the receive tones and the transmit tones and all that stuff. All that stuff stays active. And if you're on Bluetooth, it holds the Bluetooth headset active. And so, if you go back and transmit audio again, there's a fabulous echo. The first time you transmit, no echo because the received Bluetooth is not active. But after the first response, the Bluetooth receiver is active.
