I can relate to the first prerequisite song of the era that I could play was House of the Rising Suns. And that gives you a little idea of the difference in our ages. I'm retired now. You know, as a side note, a couple of the guitars I owned during that time. One was a Harmony Sovereign Jumbo guitar, really nice tone. I had that for many years. And a choral electric sitar, which I ended up trading it, not realizing how many years later it would be a highly sought after guitar. But that's the way things go. And then after high school, I took a long hiatus, didn't play for many years, picked it up again, I'd say in the 1990s, mainly to entertain my kids. And songs like Bingo, B-I-N-G-O, that sort of thing.
