Michael Sierra returning. Michael in Yukon, where it's 18 degrees Charlie. It's at around 58 degrees foxtrot, I believe. The, uh, thanks for taking my check and thanks for being there. You sounded good here, good to hear everyone. Working away on the preparatory list for a possible trip out of town tomorrow. Waiting to hear from a different contractor to see if they have whatever they need to justify their trip or do the work. I don't know, anyway, so we're waiting here. So I'm getting ready for that, maybe, or something else, perhaps. A little bit of mystery. This pay had a nice strategic planning session with some members of the local club here. Gosh, it went well. It was session number one. We'd reached out to the membership for some input ahead of time. Always nice to receive more, but we got some, so that's good. We met with those things in consideration and reviewed the last strategic planning. Had a lot of good conversations. Very enlightening, let's say. And I'm still fairly new to the club in general. For 50 years next year, so there's a lot to know here. It was a good one. Well, that's all I got for the moment. How are you doing, Brian? I'm back to you from Victor Yankee 1 Mike Gulls here. Big radio wave to all 73 friends from VY1 MGS. Hey, good stuff. I'm glad that you're getting active with that local club there. PSRG is also at 50 years. We've been doing the 9 o'clock nets for over 30 years. I know that. But yeah, good stuff and getting local there and stuff. It would probably drive me nuts to not know if I was actually going on a trip the next day. You're packed up, but then you're like, wait, am I going? Anyway, sounds like you're in good spirits about that and ready for whatever happens there. So I'm bringing HT with you if you're going on a trip and stuff. Have a great time, be safe, and we will catch you down the log here. Oh, and then how's Brian doing? I'll give a report after this round. I didn't get one yet. Try to keep things moving. Last on this round, Sebastian, how are you tonight? Whiskey Alpha 7 Echo Victor Zulu. Please give us a report. Hey, Brian and Nets. This is Sebastian, WA7EZ, transmitting from Seattle. I had a great day today. Got up and rode the e-bike over to Green Lake and met everyone for the Ice Cream Social. It was great to see everyone and chat about Ham Radio. And I had a Snickers ice cream bar, so can't complain about that. After the Ice Cream Social, my wife, Peng, and I met Robert and Cammie for lunch, so that was fun. Get caught up while they were up here in Seattle. And after that, I just kind of hung out at home and I finished building an antenna I've been working on for a while. And I was wondering if maybe I could test it out. So right now I am transmitting on my little rubber ducky and I would like to switch to this new antenna. And maybe you could tell me what my stats look like. This is the first time. First contact. I'm switching right now. This is repeater station Kilo Kilo 7 November Quebec November. This is WA7EBZ located in Shawna A and main DBJ2 antenna designed by Ed Fong. It sounded good on the receive and I'm curious if it sounds good on the transmit. I will send it back to you, Brian. This is Sebastian WA7EBZ. I think I already said that. And 7-3 everybody. Have a good night. Bye. Well hey Sebastian. Good news. That new antenna is working very well. Full quieting there. I kind of looked up at the voter scope and you're hitting way more of the receiving stations as you were using that second antenna. And it was cleaner sounding. The first antenna sounded good. No problems. But it was actually bouncing between a couple of the repeaters. Sorry the receiving stations. And that one you were lighting up almost all of them. Probably even reduce your power with that newer antenna there. So whatever you got going on there it is more than adequate and I would either vote. So I guess I will. Yeah use that new antenna. It's totally making the trek. No problem there. And the proof is in the pudding there on the voter scope. So yeah when you get a chance play with that antenna. Do a little back and forth. Watch the voter scope. But yeah definitely stick with that new antenna there. Good stuff and I'm glad you're able to get that Snickers bar and head over to the Raider shiny net. And have a little extra time with Robert and that's always a good time there. Thanks for that Sebastian. And we will catch you down the log. I am Brian. K.E. 7 K's at H. This is a 9 o'clock net on the PS RG repeater in Seattle Washington. Let me reset. I'll take a quick turn myself. Brian I'm up in Marysville Washington. It's my QTH. We're not able to make the rain or shine net today. I've got my mother in law coming into town here and so much other stuff to do. I said yes to a gig with a cover band. And I guess it's a group where they actually have a large consortium of people and musicians. And it's never the exact same musicians but they're all extremely high caliber. And basically the group gets hired to do gigs and then they throw together all these different band members. And so they send out some MP3s and all this stuff of even kind of like arrangements of sorts or shortening of songs different medley type things even of some different popular tunes. And so basically I got emailed a drop box of 5 gigabytes worth of music and stuff and a very very very long set list. And I guess for this wedding they have specifically wanted some more country music along with some pop music. So I got the phone call from the drummer of the country band that I had played with some years ago and asked if I wanted to do this. And he asked me about a year ago and I almost forgot about it but it was on my calendar. So anyway that's actually coming up Saturday. It's over, I don't know how you say it, like Roach? R-O-C-H? It's like right on the tip of one of the islands. It's practically the northern most you can get before Canada. It's still in Washington state so we'll be taking a ferry over there Saturday morning and then we play until after 11 o'clock p.m. They're providing a hotel room and I don't think we can even get a ferry home that late so I'd be heading back Sunday morning. Let me reset. So I would not be able to make that, what is it, the ham, the ham, wait a minute, what do you call it? Swap meat over at the Shoreline Community College that morning there. So basically today we were cleaning up and doing a bunch of stuff, had to make a dump run and our recycling only gets picked up every other week. We always have too much so we just take our boxes there. I basically spent many many hours today going through music and learning and especially all of the songs that will be in the set list that are specifically country songs and have specific fiddle parts that people will recognize. I need to make sure that I can nail those 100%. In addition to some of the pop songs I'm like well what do I do during these and is there something interesting to do without ruining the original or making it country per se but how do I add to this song. Just some of their pop songs, I won't name them but anyway so I spent a lot of time today practicing and had to get all of that done. I'm going to have a long work week this week so I knew I wouldn't have a ton of time to prepare for this gig that's coming Saturday there. So that's my excuse for not making the ice cream social but hopefully I can make an event here. Maybe if we get another waffle night or something, although those might be jinxed, I'm not sure. Anyway, with that I'll send it back to myself, KE7KZH. Alright, that said, again I am Brian KE7KZH. This is the 9 o'clock net on the PSRG repeater in Seattle, Washington. Let's see if we have any other new check-ins or rechecks tonight. Please come ahead. K07 Tango November Papa Troy. Hey there's Troy, K7TNP. You're on the list. More stations please.
