Yes, uh, Mike 7, Fox Hotel November, over to you. Uh, right, you've got John here, over in, uh, 70 UK. Uh, just a quick reminder, I just heard you, people out there, and, um, the maze and the distance is, uh, all coming over. Yep, thanks to the internet. I guess your local repeater is, uh, connected to, maybe, Freestar. Um, that could be how they're getting it. Yeah, uh, I'm, uh, just coming across the, um, the, uh, my local repeater. And, um, yeah, I'm quite surprised, I've got a lot of distance in the distance. Yeah, well, we're here every Sunday, starting at 1pm Eastern Time. Um, so, dinner time over there. Thanks for joining us. And, how about 2? Echo 1, Hotel Whiskey Echo. Uh, Oscar, welcome to the Trans-Canada. 2D0PY. Yeah, good evening. 2 Echo 1, Hotel Whiskey Echo. Looks like you've got a flurry of, uh, UK stations wanting you to join you tonight, which is absolutely fantastic. Uh, right, furthest distance contact. Now, I'm not the kind of guy who does HF. Uh, I won't call out, I won't call CQ. It's not my kind of thing. But there was a contest on a few years back, and I just was browsing around the frequencies casually, just had curiosity, seeing what I could hear. And I think I might have been on 20 metres, and I could hear this station in Argentina just calling CQ contest. And even though I weren't in the contest, I thought I might go back to them, because no one was calling back. They were just calling and calling, I thought, well how am I hearing this guy? And nobody else is. And I just went back to them, I wasn't even in the contest. And, uh, yeah, 5 and 5, which was phenomenal. And just to give you a look at the working conditions, they're very primitive. At that time, an intermediate license holder like myself could only have 50 watts maximum, so I was on 50 watts. And the antenna I got was pretty basic, it's called a J-Pole. So basically it's like an N-Fed long wire. Think of an N-Fed long wire, but it's technically a J-Pole antenna. There's strobing configuration in the garden, nothing special, and I'm in a really densely populated urban area, houses, buildings, everything around me. And Argentina 5 and 5, I've never done that ever again. So there we go. That is my longest DX without any internet link in there. Anyway, have a great evening, thanks for putting the net on, and 731 here at Freestar. And thanks for joining us, Oscar. Well there you go, that's a great example of how when the conditions are just right, you don't need a lot of power or really an amazing setup to go pretty far. Thanks for joining us, that's a great one. And next up, 2E0TKY. Steve, welcome to the TransCanada Net. What's the furthest you've reached in the hobby? This is repeater station Kilo Kilo 7, north of Quebec November. All-Star N6222, located in Shelton, Washington. 2E0TKY, you're in, can you return? I think it must be the furthest I've actually spoken to, this is a few years back, very in the early days. I think it was probably when I had my Cobra 148, and I was sort of milling around, I heard all the emissions coming in from Australia. And nobody was really going back to him as such, there was one or two kind of bands I could have seen. And I think he was in Brisbane somewhere, and I just got a random call out and basically he heard me. And we made contact and changed lanes and all the rest of it, and then he faded away. So it must have been conditioned I reckon, so yeah, that would have been my August cue for the days, Australia, Brisbane town. That was it really, thanks. Thank you. Yeah, I haven't managed that far on 10 meters yet, but I've certainly had enough fun up there, and on 11. Probably similar to you, I had a radio that did both bands, and this was in the early 1990s, and I had a lot of fun during that sunspot cycle. It seems things were hotter back then. Thanks for joining us, and we're at the bottom of the list. Any other international stations, people outside of North America for the Trans-Canada net, before we go east to west across Canada, E3 RWJ.
