about hot dogs. If you come to Johnson City and get on 99E and go into Lancaster, I don't know if they're still open, but we used to have a little hot dog stand right there in Lancaster where you turn to go from Lancaster to Monroe. There was a place called the Junkyard Dog. I've got to tell you, the best dog out in the biggest, all big hot dogs I've ever seen. A friend of mine used to call them round stakes. I called him the Junkyard Dog and I paid him $10.50 for a footlong with almost a quart of chili on it. It was cheese on top. Anyway, that thought just drove off the left thing. Back to that, I guess I'm done. I'll take a seven micrometer back to back control. That's a great regular day. 87MR. Alright there, Mr. K. Hopefully that place is still starting up really good hot dogs for folks of the native who's there. Thank you for the reach. I helped chase in the way of those crickets. Alright, next I've got Jim, W-8-8-H-U-B. Good morning. Good morning, Gina. Katie's serving G-E-C-W-A-8-H-U-B. I'm just back from church. We had our after church service, our whole gathering with coffee and good yeast. Anyway, so I got home and I stripped off my long pants and shirt and everything and got into shorts and t-shirts. I'm comfortable again. Anyway, that's pretty much it. Glad I could make it in before you... I thought I might. It's somewhere before the end of the hour I get in. So thank you very much and I'm pleased to get in and talk to you. Everything's fine here. I just took the red ribbon off my... I guess it was red, yeah. Off my driveway. It got seal coated yesterday. And now I can use my garage again. So that's pretty much it from here. 73, 87G-E-C-W-A-8-H-U-B. Alright there, Jim. Well, glad that your driveway's been maintained and you're back to being able to get up there to the garage. Glad to have you in. I made it in after church there. Always good to hear you, Jim. And do have a good rest of your Sunday there and your comfy shorts and t-shirts. Always good. Alright, next I've got Hunter, KK7NQN from KD7GECMS. Good morning. Well, good morning. This is Hunter, KK7NQN. I'm ready to launch a pretty ambitious project here. I started almost exactly a month ago now on what I call the KK7NQN project. Just because, well, it's easy to call it. And that's basically a logger that runs on my all-star node here and transcribes audio and logs the call plans as seen. If anyone's curious to see that, that's at KK7NQN.net, or you can look it up on my QRC page. Anyways, I finally got that working to where it's usable. And now I want to dive head first into another project that I'm calling the LSN, which is Logging Service Node. That hopefully will allow net controls or other HAMs to connect to it, either across the web or across all-star or whatever other way I add. And allow them to get their transcripts back without having to do code or run their own server or anything like that. The whole idea behind this is to be of service to the HAM community. Even though I've ran into the issue, some people find it kind of controversial whether they want it to be actually transcribed into text. Which, by the way, if you do, feel free to contact me. I love talking to people about how they see this project because this was just a thing that came up in my mind about a month ago. And I just decided to start throwing code down to see what I could do. And yeah, it's been a fun little project, but getting ready to move into stage two, I guess. Anyways, KK7NQN, back to net control. Alright there, Hunter. It sounds like you got some great skills with all that programming to figure that stuff out. It sounds like a wonderful project. And I'm sure there's plenty of folks that would love to use that and find value in what you're working on there. Congratulations on finding a niche in HAM Radio that you're falling in love with there and having some great exploration. Thanks for joining my net here this Sunday on the Worldwide Friendship Net and have a good rest of your day. And next on the list we've got Joe who helped chasing away those crickets. KK7Z from KD7G. See you in the net. There's a guy right there, Joe. Yeah, boy, that's exactly what I was doing there, Gina. Yesterday was really quiet. You're busier today, but yesterday was really, really quiet. I don't know where everybody was. But you know what's funny is I can multitask really good, you know? And like when the Tour de France was on, I would have that playing in the background and listening to it. And I always have a radio playing music in the background, which I do now, and then listening to the net. And I can hear all three and decipher all three in separate parts of my brain or something. It's all good. But, you know, All Stars full duplex, so you can hear two people at the same time. And I was hearing Jim call in. Of course, I recognized his voice and Hunter came in too on top of him. So I heard both coming in at the same time. But for some reason, I just can't. You can only like focus on one. It's weird. I can never get this thinking about it. I got the KK7, so I'm glad we got him in there. So that was cool. And I was going to give you all an update. You know, I preordered that Blue Eddy power bank, power pack, you know, portable battery. It does AC power. It's got four AC plugs on it. And USB-C and USB-A and serial lighter plug and all that stuff. It's 1800 watts. I put it on ahead of the pre-sales, like $399 for it. And I think regular price like $800. But I've had a chance to use it a little bit now. I'm going to tell you what. I've plugged my coffee maker into it. Microwave oven, toaster oven. I've tried pretty much everything and it's effortlessly, effortlessly, does it effortlessly. I've got my drone battery plugged into it right now, which doesn't, you know, it doesn't pull a lot of power, like 70 watts or something. It says I have like 80 hours of power left on it. So I pretty much have unlimited power with the drone and cameras on and out and about. So yeah, really impressed with that. The second one I got, the first one I got is a much, much smaller one. I think it's 600 watts, 6800 watts, something like that. But yeah, if you're ever out camping, I'm sure, I know with the camping you did, you probably had something like that, Gina. If not that, I'm probably a gas generator. But yeah, nice stuff. I don't have to worry about putting gas or everything. I got some solar panels for it. And there you go. So anyway, there's a few crickets for you. Show them what it's like. It's a PK-7Z. Thank you. All right, there we go. I'm glad that that battery's working out. It sounds like putting it through a very good test there. Those microwaves can be tricky on the running off of battery power. So I'm glad that that is working well for you and giving you all the mobile power that you need. And yeah, we have a gas generator in our travel trailer, but we also have two 6-volt golf cart batteries that we've got running parallel there. Series, I can't remember. And that, yeah, lasts quite a bit for running stuff when we're boondocking off the power grid. So always good to have other options, especially as those that use like a CPAP or something and travel or find themselves out of power. Something like that to have would be really good. So thanks for taking time to recheck in there and share that and again, chase away those crickets. So we've got a little bit over five minutes left here in an hour. So let's see if we can get a few more folks in and close it down for our Sunday. So if you've been waiting to check in, this is it. I'll say our last call because it's getting really quiet there. So last round here for the Worldwide Friendship Net. Please come with your call signs. Victor Victor Martin Tulsa. The one W.A.N. Victor Echo One Whiskey in November. Kilo Romeo for Delta Victor Tango Kilo Romeo for Delta Victor Tango Sebastian in North Carolina. VA6GRZ for recheck.
