Would you look at that, it hit 4.30 in the morning, Sunday, August 10th. We're out here on the Cowabunga net. And we meet seven days a week, Monday through Saturday with a regular net controller, and Sunday with a rotating net controller. And because my truck is still broke down, I didn't get the truck in until yesterday morning, they ordered the part but it didn't come in. Now it won't come in until Monday. I figured, what the heck? I should take a turn at net controller and give some of the other net controllers a break in case they wanna sleep in or have the day off. So I am in 9-0-F-U, in Jacksonville, out of Phoenix, Arizona, taking over net control this morning. And so far, I just go ahead and made a list of people that I've heard out here. I've got BHVKKY Kevin, good morning Kevin, KB0MAI George, good morning George, VL1UKZ Darryl, KJ5IRQ Josh, and VE1WIN Peter, good morning to all three of you. So if you're out here, you'd like to get on the... I think so. Is this how we usually do it? Because I get out here on Sunday morning, usually someone's calling and getting things going. I'll refer to Kevin and George inside, they're out here. Usually, is this how we usually do it on Sunday morning? This is repeater station kilo kilo seven, November Quebec November, all star node 6222, located in Shelton, Washington. What say you? Well, I guess we got the A of it, right? Okay, take the list. I know courtesy of question usually gets thrown around, but you're pretty good at doing that anyway. So I'm sure in the process today, questions will be asked. I'm at least able, I mean, today, like yesterday, there are days I can actually stay. I really, honestly really can't now in the weekdays. They're just too hectic for the most part. I'm either just too tired or I have to work. Like at least Monday, Wednesday, Friday, I have to definitely work. So I pretty much, those are hard, really hard to do. And then honestly, I kind of just really go out of my way to try to make Tuesday, Thursday for us, but those are harder and harder for me to do. It's almost like weekends are the best. I haven't forgotten the 19th. So if I say I can make that, I can, you know, like I can meet the goals, but yeah, for the most part, some of it is getting tougher and tougher and tougher. But I do like coming here and the weekends right now seem to be a sure shot, that's for sure. All right, well, I should be here and you know there's others here. You said like five. I didn't count. Everyone I guess waits for the net. It seems like they're right. You can't find nobody that I've known before, but everybody's on right now, your debt. So I'll be back to you, Bill. I'll be here. I hope so. I got to get my coffee. You guys talk it up so I can do that. I know that's not a tall order. So back to you, Bill. From Kevin. All right, thank you, Kevin. Yep, misunderstood the question. The question was do we have usually a rotating net control operator out here? And it's usually a, we'll see who is available, who has time to be able to pick it up on a Sunday. Sometimes we'll have three or four people that are ready for the challenge and sometimes we don't. And then we just kind of go around and have a rag too. That's how I usually work on Sunday from when I've been able to get out here. But next on the list we got George, KV0MAI, who is on his Echo Link node. And at first it was a little quiet. When you first came in, the first transmission, I heard you, it was really quiet, but I got better over time. And then once you turned up your mic gain, it came in just like you're running out of time. It came in just like you were on Echo Link. So good morning, George. How are you doing today? Yeah, good morning, Bill. I am doing just fine. Yeah, it's actually quite gorgeous out here on the back porch. So yeah, I know I get that problem. I go over to the digital bands and I have to turn down my gain because it's just way too hot for most people. And then when I switch back over to All Star or Echo Link, I gotta bring my gain back up because it's the opposite. I don't know why you think it'd be about the same, either way, but of course I'm using two different nodes too. So that probably makes a difference. So I got my All Star node and I have an open spot that I use for the other stuff. So anyhow, yeah, you're more than welcome to it since you're off and I was all set up. I had my Coke and my coffee and my two little computers and a list of questions and a whole bunch of box of Kleenex because my sinuses are going nuts today. So I think I'll just sit back and relax and let you do your thing. So only thing is, you talked about letting a neck controller get to sleep in. If you were to text me, like, oh, I don't know, like two o'clock in the morning, I would have slept till three which wouldn't really make any difference now, would it? But that's just my smart ass answer to getting to sleep in on the day I'm supposed to take it. And one more thing, let it drop for a second.
