Good evening. It's 9 o'clock and time for the 9 o'clock net for Saturday, August 9th, 2025. I'm Jack, KI7RMU. I'll be your host for tonight. Co-hosting with me tonight is our special co-host, Dean, KG70DB. Dean, KG70DB over at Bitter Lake. How are you tonight, sir? Good evening, Jack and everyone on the net. I am doing well. This is Dean, KG70DB. I look forward to hosting the net with you tonight and we're filling in for Bill and Rich who are traveling. Back to you. Alright, well if they're listening in tonight, I'm sure they've got the shock of their life. I cannot believe it, Dean. You're here and I'm just so happy to have you. So thank you so much. We'll do our best, Rich and Bill. This is a directed social net that happens on the WW7PSR 2-meter repeater, which is located on Capitol Hill in Seattle and operated by the Puget Sound Repeater Group. The repeater operates at a frequency of 146.96 with a negative offset and a P-O tone at 103.5. All licensed cams and new licensees just getting started are welcome to join. If you have third party traffic, we'd like to hear from them too. We encourage you to press that button, tell us a little bit about yourself, your radio project or just about anything else. Please limit your reports to three minutes so we can get as many stations in as possible. When you're finished with your report, please enter your call sign. That'll keep the FCC happy. We'll be compiling lists of stations we'd like to check in and then we'll ask for your report. If you'd like to check in only, just let us know. You'll be in and out, also known as an article. Let's get the net started. Come ahead now with your call sign name please for round one. KA98V and good evening. KA98V and good evening. Well I think the humiliation of this silly medical call in show wasn't enough four weeks ago. They rebroadcast the same show again with my horrible call on it. And so I got to listen to my dear Scott's emulation of my horrible call yet again. And I'm sitting here thinking my gosh how many more people have this one impression of me. It's like okay humiliation my humiliation is complete. Other than that I read through the book I wrote many years ago and published so that I can promote it at Worldcon. Read through it all again and played the harp a little bit. And that's about all I did for today. And so kind of a dull morning day. Anyway this is a 733388 to everybody. Thanks Jack and Dean for running the net. And thanks to everybody else for listening. I love you all. This is KA98V back to bed. Alright Anne hey real quick when does Worldcon start and is that here in Seattle? I can't remember if it's here or if it's at another venue just outside the city. Back to you Anne. Worldcon starts on Wednesday of this next week and it actually is at the convention center and the summit building. And you know all the places down in that main sort of convention area in downtown Seattle. KA98V. Alright well I hope you guys get to check in from there. If you can remember you have all star or echo on your phone. Well we'll hear about it soon enough and I cannot wait. Thank you so much Anne. Have a good night and say hi to the crowd. Want you please? KJ7JX I look forward to talking to Robert right now. Robert we have a big day ahead. Big day today I know. How are you sir? Go ahead. Well here is KJ7JX Ray Mike. Hello Robert. And Jack tomorrow can't come long enough away. Did that come out right? I am so tired and I need an extra day but I am kind of ready for tomorrow. We didn't unload Cammy's rig from all the stuff at the Field of Wheels event so most of it is still in there. That's good. But we still got a few things to load up. Luckily we didn't use her go box radio so the battery will be fully charged because I was thinking about that. But I haven't charged up the EcoFlow so I'm sure it's going to have plenty of power still. The tablet has been running on battery power the last few days and we've been using it. I'm going to make sure I'm bringing the camera to that. And my name came on the charger so people will know who I am because that's always been a huge problem. You know what I mean? But I'm excited for it nonetheless. It's going to be a fantastic day. I am so utterly exhausted from working the last two days on the business stuff. I'm out fitting those two vans with inverters. That went really well. Nice and smooth as I had expected it to. It's less materials than I thought in some situations and not enough materials than I thought in other situations. I still got to work on getting some ducts in a row at times to make sure I can do these things smoothly without having to run down to the Ace Hardware, aka Arlington Hardware, and buy some parts. Although on a good note, I did get my tax exempt account set up with them so I can buy parts to resell from them. So that's very nice. Other than that, not a whole lot else to report, Jack. Just a great day out running around, getting things done, vehicles delivered, and having an amazing dinner with my beautiful, amazing other half. So I look forward to seeing you, Jack, and looking forward to some ice cream and wishing Brooks and Megan a very happy congratulations on their amazing joint adventure. Yeah, we'll call it that. Thanks, Jack. So excited for you to host, my friend. And I'll be sleeping, but maybe Kami will reach out to you around. The days have been changed. Back to you two. Alright, Robert. Another successful day. Now you just have to wrap it up with a successful adventure in sleep. So you get to sleep soon. We'll see you tomorrow at Green Lake. Looking forward to it. Alright, well, speaking of Kami, let's do that now. KJ7REP. Hi, Kami. Well, good evening, and everyone out there on the net, I'm here, KJ7REP. Yes, I don't know. I'm sorry to get into that good day, but that's not in the cards, so you're up with what you got. So, Jack, Robert finally took me to the balloon. We went there this evening after dinner, and we saw where the park area is where you can activate as a photo park, but we didn't have a chance to actually venture into the park area. But we've scouted things out, we've made our plans, and so hopefully one of these days soon we can host the net from that location. So, more to come. I took the balloon to the boat while we were out there, and it's a pretty cool area. You know, I've seen it from the freeway for a long time. I've been driven by it, but I've just never been out on those little back roads. Robert took us on a ride out there this evening, and it was nice. I'm looking forward to it. Looking forward to tomorrow as well. So, we'll be here soon and beyond thrilled that Dina's co-hosting with you this evening. I'm so excited to hear you at the hotel side. You'll be amazing. And, yeah, so I'll be listening. Robert will probably fall asleep first. I'll be listening to the human fall asleep as fast as he does. I'm so envious. It's so hard for me to fall asleep, and he can fall asleep mid-sentence. So, there you go. Thanks for hosting. Thanks for getting us in, and, Dina, I'm so happy that you'll be hosting, and I'll be listening. All the numbers tables KJ7 are eight feet back to net control. All right, KJ7, you have a good night. I hope you get enough sleep, and we'll see you tomorrow at Green Lake. We're really looking forward to it. And, Dean, no pressure. No pressure. You'll do just great. Well, of course, Dean has got lots of experience with the radio. He's been all over the place. If he does stuff, I don't even get in. So, anyway, we'll talk to him in just a few minutes. Let's get back to the radio now. Around one o'clock here on the PSR, I'm Jack, I'm you. Go talk to Matt. I think he's in our upland. KJ7, do you like him?
