in Washington, Montana, British Columbia, North Alberta, and even the Swiss Alps have lost, according to some recent studies, a impressive amount of ice between 2021 and 2004. And the loss of these in these four years was double. It was double that recorded from between 2010 and 2020 by up to 13%. And glaciers in the U.S. and Canada lost about 24.5 billion tons, 22.2 billion metric tons of ice per year on average. But glaciers in the Swiss Alps lost about 1.7 billion tons, 1.5 billion metric tons of ice per year. And previous records have now been shattered completely.
