for this research, well for the first time, allows scientists to systematically look at these organisms on a molecular level as to how they express themselves genetically in space. And by studying genetic changes in bacteria, it's hoped that this gives clues to researchers how these things act inside our bodies, how fast they spread, and a likely sort of evading treatment in space and back on Earth. I can understand in space when people start making longer drives in space, you want to be able to control these bacteria separately because I now see that the bacteria in space tends to mutate and become a little bit hardier and a little bit more harder to deal with any sort of treatment.
