you shouldn't have any trouble making the spot. Just make sure the approach is stabilized and you've got checklist complete and you shouldn't have any problem at all. And it sounds like you're making great progress so I think you've got the skills to do it so just keep at it. But stabilized approach is magic. So once it's stabilized, you're gonna make it. And seven VLX and back to your own. I'm a bank believer in stabilized approach and go around but I have to tell you, in the desert when it's hot, the thermals off the ground are crazy.
