Riverbanks have been panned for, oh my gosh, so many generations. Well, if I recall correctly, it was after a lot of rain. It was one of those years where it really rained and the water ran really high. The kids said, let's go see if we can panned for gold that they may have washed down. And they actually found a few flakes, a whole lot of work, standing in cold water, but they were willing to do it, so I just cheered them on from the bank. Good for you, good for you, that's really fun. I prefer to partake in the white water when I go to Coloma. I spent a number of years as a white water raft guide, and oh man, best job ever.
