Regarding the question, we used to have surround sound back 15, 10, 15 years ago, but the technology has changed and so much. I don't feel like getting into redirect the connections and so on and so forth. So these modern TVs now have pretty good sound systems that almost sounds like surround sound from time to time depending on what you're watching. However, the only time I ever get surround sound is when I sit out of my room.
