Let's go to the second cable that I could use for portable stuff. I finally got the right crimp dials for that so I was able to put it together. Then I found a little bit of an issue. The contacts did not fit properly in the radio. They were quite loose even though the cable that I bought was specifically listed as being for Kenwood HF radios. I was able to kind of squish the contacts together, close them up a little bit, and they were able to make a tight fit on there. That's kind of disappointing. Let's see if I can open the wrong contacts for that.
