check into this net anymore but he used to run a horizontal dipole on 160 metres and some of the guys used to complain that they got quite annoyed in the end because they couldn't hear him. They were all running vertical antennas and this one person was running a horizontal dipole for 160 and it was quite funny that this same station kept on saying well everyone is of good report except you Eric because Eric was running horizontal and it went on for years and you could just tell that people were getting quite annoyed because he didn't do anything to change his station and for about a good four or five minutes when he gave his over they couldn't hear anything it was dead air time so I think their patience was stretched over time there back to you.
