So I got W7JSM John and then I got KE7KZH Brian and then there was another station that I think was coming to the internet. Come back for me please. I'm super excited about the ice cream social and the general celebratory spirit that we're going to have. I'm super excited about that. And it was really exciting to hear a new ham join The Net tonight so I just want to say a big shout out and a welcome to the new ham. Well, I have been listening to The Net. It's been on in the background and I've been working on a little server that I have at my place. And it was really quite an adventure tonight because I got this server up and running. It's a Linux server. I got it running a few months back and I've updated it from time to time with whatever software updates blah blah blah. And then I took off on vacation and I was like oh I'm just going to turn that thing off. I'm not using it. Nobody was using it while I'm gone. So I turned it off while on vacation and I turned it back on. And I have this thing all super secure. The disk has encryption. It has encryption on boot. It has encryption on the disk. It's super encrypted Megan. And I loaded it up and I put in the password and it's like sorry that's not the right password. And I was like huh I thought that was the right password. And then I tried another password and another and another and I was like oh no I forgot the password was so secure I couldn't get in. And you know it only lets you do three attempts before it forces you to reboot the whole thing again. Well it took me about I don't know maybe 40, 50 attempts and I don't even know how many. Divide that by three for how many reboots. Too many. It was too many. And I finally finally figured it out. This is the problem with super secure servers. And you know the thing is there's nothing even on there that needs to be so secure. But I just you know I really liked the idea of having a super secure server. You know like any good ham lady operator out there I want to have a super secure server. So anyway I've learned my lesson and now I've written down the super secure password and I've hope that now I can put it on the wall next to the server. So good to go. Okay well I'm looking forward to seeing everybody this weekend and I'm enjoying the net. KJ7NUW back to net control. Well Madeline I'm glad to hear that you are going to be there this weekend. And I have to laugh at your encrypted password. Oh that's so funny. And I love that you resorted to a sticky note next to it on the wall. Not even a note on your phone. That's awesome. I love that. Just make sure the sticky note doesn't lose it's sticky and then your sticky note falls and then you don't know where your password is again. Things are going well here although it's been very very hot. We've been up to like 100 and 102 degrees believe it or not. And it's definitely a heat warning and we've had spots of rain not all over the whole area but certain parts of the city. We've had rain. Mike Raub went to Walmart today. My brother. And he went to come out of the store and it was like a monsoon. He said it was really bad. He couldn't even get to his car. And he waited 20 minutes and the rain stopped and the sun came out just like that. And when we got back home here told him we didn't have any rain at all. And that happens a lot around here. One section of the city or town can be really having quite a storm and the other part of it nothing. So that's what happened today. I went and got my new pair of glasses today. My everyday ones are a new rose gold. They're really pretty. A little bit bigger than what I had before but you don't know because you haven't seen a picture. And my sunglasses are a public color. They look kind of cool too. So lots of approval. So that's a good thing. Anyway not much else is going on. Just wanted to stop in and say hi. And seventy three eighty eight to all all the numbers. So we are in the middle of that and I'm laughing because it always seems like it's going to be a small project when we talk about it. And then as you know Elaine it never is a small project. So that's what we've been up to. You know just doing all our silly things that we like to take on. Bummer to hear that it's been so hot down there but glad to hear there is some spots getting some rain. Unfortunately it's monsoons but better than no rain at all. That's what I have to say because yeah it was pretty hot here and we had no rain and the fires were kicking up pretty good. So I know how important that rain is with the hot weather and I can't wait to see these new glasses and sunglasses on. These sound pretty stylish Elaine and they sound very you.
