He took that engine home, made a stand for it, came back a couple of days later with that thing just screaming. Next thing you know, he believed mechanics. It's a pretty awesome story. But yeah, he was working on building a replica of the Hawaii Kai. He had the original blueprints for the boat. And when he passed away, he had the hull about 30% complete. It was definitely enough completed that you could see that it was a shovel, those hider planes and his son just scrapped all of it. Scrapped all the engines he had, everything. It was that, to his son, the engines were worth their weight in iron. They weren't worth their weight in anything else. So that's that, that all that stuff went to scratch. But hopefully the scraper knew what he would eat.
