It sounds good on your guess how like you're going to be batching it for a while and taking care of things around the house and all that. The 590, the Kenwood had to be the easiest radio that I've ever hooked up to FT8. I don't even think I downloaded the drivers. I think it just plugged the cable into it, downloaded the WSH-TX program onto my little $100 laptop. It all worked. No hassle. That's what I really liked about it. Kenwood owners had some really good things about those radios. It was super easy. I didn't even have to go into the settings or anything. I think the only thing I had to do was I didn't even have to get in digital mode. It just seems to work.
