Another guy, a school friend of mine always made it clear that if you get the basic, you're limited and it's boring. I just didn't have the wherewithal and the knowledge. Just say, wait a minute, no it's not. You can get on repeaters that have the internet and you can bring up reflectors. You can bring up conferences. This echoline would be around the corner. It was called eiling and you can do so much with it and you can do it all with a basic license. I just didn't know how to respond about it at the time. But I'm glad I at least went through the ranks because if I had to do it today, if I was just acting like I was new, that I wasn't around for 32 years, it would be 33 in 2027. And yeah, I would just go and get the basic and then just do the VOIP stuff. Now I'm not advising anyone.
