compiling and working with it in Linux forever. I was trying VS Code, but that thing is kind of limited. It's nice for little projects, but it's not going to work for something as big as mine. So in your rate. C sharp versus C++, just a sec. They're entirely two different languages. C++ of course is just the C with objects in it. But C sharp is written from the ground up to look like C, but in some regards, but it's a managed language, meaning all memory allocations and free happen with a garbage collector. So it's really, really nice. I'm incredibly more productive in the C sharp language than I am C++. And I did see a plus plus programming for just years and years.
