Well, we lost Michael, so maybe I'll circle back to him. But first, Eric, AK6CW? No, LW. See, I've got a, I need better light. Only one of my lights is working tonight. One of them is not charging for some reason. So, um, AK6LW, Eric, please give us your report. Thanks, Joan, and that's right. AK6LW, and we just recently ended our fostering of the kittens that we were fostering the last couple of weeks. Things are going a little slow with them, and the woman's been working with us. Thought she might pick them up and see if she could do a little better, but not sure how well that's going to work out. Since they bit the crap out of her when she tried to collect them, but she ended up having to go to urgent care. So, it's possible we might end up with the kittens back here again before the end of the week. I also had the fun issue with the FDA transmission on the 40 meter band turning my washing machine on. And I managed to fix that with a little RF choke. I moved that from my other antenna, and then when I did that, I got a second RF choke. Getting it to turn on using the other antenna on the 70 meter band. But I took everything apart today and kind of redid all the connections. And now I'm able to do the FDA without turning the washing machine on or off, which can be a little disruptive when you're trying to do laundry. That's it. That's the net. Alpha Kilo 6, Lemowiski, Barrick and Daly City. This is repeater station Kilo 27, November, Quebec, November. I don't know if you said Eric or Derek. Last time, let me just quickly jump over to QRZ.com and enter your call sign. AK6LW, AK6LW with one hand, because it's sitting on the windowsill to my left. Eric, I did it right the first time. Yes, well, I find business on ending the fostering of the kittens and your FT8 adventures and the washing machine that you have improved the design with an RF choke. But I'll have to mention to you, Eric, that as you were transmitting, your audio was clear, but its level was fluctuating. It was fluctuating from normal level of modulation to very quiet, like dropped to like 20 decibels down and come back as if it were like a microphone connection. Looking at your pics, Eric has got some nice technically a shack pic and a couple three antenna pics on his QRZ.com profile. So, anyway, take care. Eric, thank you for stopping in. I hope you can troubleshoot your mic level intermittency that was happening. All right, next we've got W9MAQ without a name yet, but please give us your name and go ahead and give us a report. W9MAQ, and the name is Jim, located here in northwest Indiana in the Chicagoland area. And, yeah, I had a busy day today setting up a couple of cameras, wireless security cameras. Going to put one out in the front of the house, one in the back of the house and got them up and running. And the conditions here in northwest Indiana tonight are much better than they were last night at this time. That the soot and the smoke coming from the Canadian wildfires was really, really covering northwest Indiana and the Chicago area. It smelled like the house was on fire. Had to get up and check to make sure everything was okay. Saw some video from the top of the Sears Tower shooting down at Lollapalooza and you could barely see Grant Park. The soot and the smoke and everything was pretty bad. And they reported that Chicago had the worst air quality of any city in the world. And that was for like two days. So we're hoping that things sort of calm down up in in Canada there because it sure was getting into the Chicago area and northwest Indiana. But anyway, wanted to say hello to everyone in the Seattle area there and anyone else listening here. I'm using, coming in tonight from using a repeater phone and it sounds really good here tonight. There's no breakup or anything at all. There's no audio problems whatsoever. It sounds really good Joe. So I wanted to pass that on. So 73 from northwest Indiana and the Chicagoland area. W9MAQ. Well fine business Jim. Yes I am favorably impressed with the repeater phone. I have it on my devices and uh three of my devices. And it works really well. It's easy to use. It has good audio quality. And I jotted a bunch of stuff down in your remarks column. And basically we were talking about and the smoke. I'll just mention the smoke. So far no smoke here. We haven't been hit with it yet. Although we do have a season here between in the Pacific Northwest between summer and autumn. Cold smoke. Take care Jim. Thank you for stopping by on a Monday night. And I will catch you down the log. Moving right along. Uh we had Louis gave us uh who's AI6XD. Louis uh is an IO. And that brings us to the bottom of the second. So let me draw another line. And start a third round. Roman numeral three is how I do it. My pencil here. Let me make sure I logged Jim. There we go. Got you in. All right. So uh let's start a third round. The night is rather young. Um just sipping through it. Uh this is.
