Good morning. Hey, standby. Nick, good to hear you on a Monday morning. Let's stop there and let's go back to Jeff and say, good morning, Jeff, AB6MB. Good morning, Jack, and it's Jeff here on the San Francisco Bay where it's nice and sunny out. It's 63 degrees out there. Yeah, I just woke up here. No coffee yet, so I'm looking around. I can tell the squirrels, there's still peanuts on the ground there, so it's like they haven't got them all. Yeah, so squirrels have been by, I can tell, but they haven't been by in force. Yeah, just looking forward to just another day here. It's sunny and peaceful out there and, oh, boy, yeah, it's still pretty sleepy here. Hope everybody out there has a great day. I want to go back to listening here. AB6MB. All right, hey, thank you, Jeff. Have a great morning. Get some coffee in you and you'll make it to the afternoon. And you're on the new net, which is being hosted today by, you know who, Rebecca, KK79JZ. Ben is next. Hold on there. And, Jeff, I can say good morning to you. Let's go talk to Ben, AJ7EV. And, Ben, you know, I did not realize you took all three tests for your licenses at the same time. That is, tell me about that experience. I saw somebody in person do that once and I was like, what? He did all three? No way. So, tell me about that, but good morning to you. How are you? How's Ren? How's the family? Hey, good morning, Jack. Things are good. Let's see, the story about my licenses. So, I have been thinking about getting a license for a couple of years and finally got around to it this May when I got an email from the Seattle Emergency Hub saying there's going to be a class through the West Seattle Amateur Radio Club. So, I went and watched all the lectures online and for the first class, the technician, and I enjoyed that so much I went ahead and watched all the general and enjoyed that and said, well, I might as well study up for the extra and that way I won't have to remember which frequencies I can't transmit on, well, within the ham band. So, I just practiced on what's that called? Hamstudy.org and was able to do all three in one sitting. Let's see, and then my report for today, I've been really having fun on some HF, trying out some new things on my G90, so a little 20 watt radio. Last night I tried Whisper for the first time, so that's sort of a really low signal, weak signal mode and you send out a little bit of information with your call sign and stations around the world are listening and will upload to the internet if they hear you. So, I was able to, it really blew my mind. Before yesterday my longest contact over single sideband was just like Colorado or Alaska, but last night I was able to get picked up in Antarctica and Chile and New Zealand and Mozambique, so really far from the sights of the world. So, that really blew my mind. That's all for me, 887EZ. Hey, on that Whisper beacon network, I think the program will automatically log all the things like FT8, all the contacts you make. Where was the station in Antarctica? Was that at McMurdo Sound there? I need to go peek again at it. It was right before I went to sleep, so I wasn't looking at all the details, but I'll let you know. Bye for now, 887EZ. Oh, that would be great to know. Yeah, if you get a chance, I'd be kind of curious to find out who's down there now on the Amban. There's always somebody there, of course, but I'm just kind of curious who that was. If you get a minute, no big deal, so you don't have time, but nice to hear from you, Ben. Thank you so much, 887EZ. Three tickets in one go. Oh, I'm so jealous. But when I saw that guy do that, I just wanted to go over and say, that's amazing. Who are you? I was just lucky to get my tech license and get out of there on time. Anyway, good to hear you, Ben. Have fun today and enjoy the week ahead. Let's go talk to W-87AFB and Rich. How are you back there in Minnesota? Go ahead. Good morning. This is W-87AFB.
