I used to have a two radio that I got it restored back to functionality but I couldn't use it. It was actually part of the military radio that was used in the instrument landing system on the aircraft in the 1940s and 50s. But I got it up and running again. I had to buy a special power supply to supply the 48V that is required. I take warm up the tubes but I had to replace three of the 18 tubes that were in it. And according to my oscilloscope it was functioning as intended. It just didn't have the ability to use it for anything as I'm not an air pilot and those systems are now retired. So it still needs a piece of history to have I think. At least to know that it works.
