Just to clean this gunk up, get rid of the electrical tape and butt connectors and put a proper junction box on the tongue of that trailer and that should also fix the breakaway switch which is also not working correctly. You said so that's the first step. The second step will be to recrimp the wires on the big battery switch because they're loose. I mean I could whittle them back and forth.
