VE5-UO from VE5-Delta Tango and thanks for calling the net, Dave. And yeah, computers, I guess mostly, I would say mostly I use them for information about ham radio. That would be the YouTube channel and videos and that type of thing. As far as connecting with people and talking, I use hotspots, a clear zero, an open spot for, another one for DMR and the one I'm using now is Shark RF mic, which I enjoy using as well. But licensed in 95, my first purchase was a Radio Shack, 2 meter radio, second purchase, a computer and it's kind of been like that ever since. One thing I am curious about is if people are still using packet radio and APRS. Everybody has a computer but I wonder if those are still in use today, practical and popular. Back to you from VE5-Delta Tango. Yeah, very good David and thanks for your input. Appreciate that and I could offer my observations on packet radio and APRS. I know they are alive and well. I guess it really depends on where you go. I know there's some APRS gateways here in the city and a few stations that are using it. I'm not using APRS but there are several in town here that are. I think we have an APRS gateway at the university and a couple of others in town here as well. As for packet radio, packet bulletin boards and things like that aren't so popular at least here in my city. I know there's been some interesting developments in packet and I've forgotten the name of the protocol but it's a full duplex point to point packet system still leveraging notes software and AX25 and all that kind of stuff. I know it's around. Anybody want to chime in on their perspectives on the use of APRS and packet radio in their region even if you're a recheck or a new check? Check in now. Victor Echo 5, uniform Oscar here. To Delta Zero, Papa Echo Yankee. Scott, I hope those two leave my bikes right. H2LBX. H2LBX. Okay, just going to stop there for a sec because I had a bunch of collisions and I think I got the first call sign wrong but it could be wrong. I've got 2 Delta Zero, Eka, Papa Yankee. Just before I move on here and acknowledge others, did I get that call sign right? 2 Delta Zero, Eka, Papa Yankee. Is that correct? No, negative. It's 2 Delta Zero, Papa Echo Yankee or 2 Dopey if you like. Sorry, 2 Delta Zero again. Yeah, roger that. 2 Delta Zero, Papa Echo Yankee, 2D0PEY, QSL.
