My entire HF career, I've never used vertical antennas other than like this year field day when I was operating the station that the mic can keep folks set up down on the beach, which was all verticals this year. But I've always been in bed or a full wave loop or dipoles. I've always used wire antennas. Now for a *******er, that's the best thing to try, but that's what I'm going to start with and probably do some experimentation from there. What have you been thinking about trying? Well, I'm a nubed with a capital N. So I just learned as I go and I ended up getting a MC-750 direct from Jelligan. Instead of waiting for DX or PEN, DX wanted more so I waited and got it direct. And I still went and bought their JPC-12, which has coils, but I really don't know where you're going to be.
