There's a saying, if the good lords willing and the creek don't rise, and a lot of people think that means like a creek, a water wave, small river, but it's actually about the Indian uprising back in the day and negotiations between the tribes and the government. That's where that motto came from, with the good lords willing and the creek don't rise, so I got to chuckle out of that.
