One thing to consider though is make sure that the cabling you're using is shielded. So because there may be some other RF interference that's sitting out there and with the run of the cable you might find yourself finding some RFi. You might want to be careful of that because I know that I put a real long cable on one of my radios one time in the shop so I could still move around a little and I got all the RFi.
