It's the actual name for the breed. They're like Snow White dogs and medium to large size dogs. But the name, that word Eskimo itself, that's a derogatory word describing indigenous northern Canadian people. Their actual name is Inuit. The Inuit people have been slangly referred to as Eskimo, which translates loosely to Eater of raw meat. But yeah, it's a slang word. Here in Canada, it's kind of frowned upon to even use it because it's been used in derogatory terms.
