You know, starting a vertical antenna at $400 or $500 is inaccurate. You can make a vertical antenna for about $40 worth of equipment. You get a collapsing fishing pole and then you cover it with, you take the segments apart, cover it all with a aluminum tape, wrap some wire around it to make it coil, you know, near the base, stick that on a spike, shove it in the ground. You can use like a Faraday cloth that people use to, I don't know, wrap their heads to keep the Wi-Fi out. You can use that on the ground for a ground plane and you can spread out wires for a ground plane. And you've got a perfectly functional vertical antenna that will make contacts around the world. I'll tell Australia on that one. I didn't make it and I and my I made that one. Yeah, just a bunch of the pool today.
