In fact, for a long time in classical music history, orchestras in different cities and different countries would tune to different standards. There was no uniform standard anywhere, which is what 440 was supposed to do was come up with something that everyone would use. But there are probably apps out there that can just retune everything you're listening to to 432 on the fly. If you prefer it, there's nothing certainly wrong with hearing stuff at 432 if you like it and if you'd notice a difference and think it's at least interesting. But yeah, I'm going to put it in the conspiracy theory category.
