the node and the HT on low power, so I wasn't sure if I'd make it in on the HT, but glad it worked. Good to get a signal report. And yeah, ham radio is probably my newest hobby, and the other new hobby in the last five years anyway has been experimenting with alternative energy, solar and hydro and experimenting with water and gravity, a hydraulic ram pump that also makes compressed air, using an airlift pump to push water uphill. I built a tower that I was originally going to turn into a water tower, but before I ever put tank on it, I hung solar panels on it and got a ham radio antenna, so now it's a solar radio antenna tower with no water tanks. Anyway, a lot of my hobbies have gone by the wayside. I heard KM5Y mentioned model rocketry. I used to really be into that when I was at use, and I kind of miss that. That's definitely a fun one. Got a big open area, but I'm sure there's plenty of that in Texas. And a lot of my other hobbies too, like water skiing, snow skiing, different outdoor activities I just no longer do, and then when I lived out in the bush, I used to do a lot of woodworking, mainly building sleds and fish traps and various contraptions out of wood. I used to do leathercraft. I used to make holsters and rifle scabbards and knife sheaves and made some knives. I've just gotten away from some of those hobbies, so I need to re-engage in some of them. But good to hear everyone in here, really good to hear Uncle Fred in here and interesting all the hobby suggestions. I like several people that got too many hobbies, but I'm always looking for something new to try out, but I've got to get back to my list of two new before winter hits. I never finished my last year to-do. I never finish any of them, but they just seem to keep getting longer instead of shorter.
