You buy a 500 watt solid state amplifier, a 500 watt automatic tuner, all the cables, all the interfaces, you're at or above what the Aurora costs, but the big thing is one of the biggest decision makers on it is that even though you can't run it on 12 volts, it plugs right into the wall, 120 volt socket. And when you look at running any amplifier, it's better to run 220 than 120 because of the amperage draw. And because of the class of amplifier in that Aurora, key down, full output at 120 volts, it only pulls a Neiger 6 amps. And so for my off grid, learn it.
