I-5SR and the happy hour net here is KL7FR, firewood roundup. And yes, the days are getting shorter. It's no longer the land of the midnight sun. It's getting dark by 11, 1130. It depends on if it's cloudy, but it's still getting late at 530 or so in the morning, but the days are definitely getting shorter. It's kind of cool, cloudy, clammy weather here today. I'm feeling beat up. I had a busy week. I've been doing a lot. I'm taking the day off, so I'm glad to sit in the shack and listen to the radio. Yeah, lots of projects going on. I definitely got to start piling up wood for the winter. Now that it's August, that's a high priority, getting ready for winter. I got a long project. I got lists of lists. In my get ready for winter list, I never finish it, but getting started on it. I got some house and garage improvements I got to do before winter sets in and electrical issues I got to deal with in addition to general yard work. So staying busy, that's for sure, but I definitely got to start piling up firewood. I bought a tandem axle trailer a couple weeks ago, and that sucker, I think I could haul four carts of wood on it, but my little Ford Expedition didn't like pulling it empty. I got a pretty heavy duty trailer, so I need to get a truck to pull that trailer around them and go up to Trapper Creek and look at one tomorrow. My girlfriend's landlord is moving out of state and she's selling everything. She's got a flatbed dump truck. I don't know any more than that. What year, I know it's a Ford, but I don't know what year or anything else. Hopefully that'll be just the thing I need for hauling firewood, plus I can load the trucks and the trailers. It's a heavy duty enough truck, so that's the plan for the weekend. Hopefully get a truck to haul my trailer around with, because my other truck transmission went out.
