very, very rare. So what happened? Well, on May 17th, the conditions were perfect for tornadoes. They had one near Crestamir, one near Didsby, one near Old, and then on the 18th of May, another one near Old, one near Garfield, one near Gull Lake, and one near Blackfald. And these were all given a preliminary rating of EF0. So basically between May 17th and May 18th, the Northern Tornadoes Project and ECC, which is Environment Climate Change Canada, as they recorded these seven landspouts in the central and southern part of Alberta. And these are actually the province's first confirmed tornadoes of the year. So what's going on here? Why is this so interesting? Well, from a seasonal and climate perspective, Alberta's landspelt season.
