But right around the halfway point there, 50 years, a trip of a lifetime. My buddy who got me in the ham radio, my oldest friend from Chicago, asked me if I wanted to do this trip and I, oh yeah, of course, we were both happened to be in Chicago, had been working on the Alaska pipeline, had money in our pockets, he had just bought a Porsche 914, a little two-seater with a four-cylinder Volkswagen engine in it.
