So, lance bouts, this is basically a specific type of non-supercell tornado. And again, these are just like the traditional water spout, so they're usually slender and they form under growing cumulus clouds before there's typically any rain or hail that develops, right? So usually when the storm is in its growth phase or the cloud at this point in time before it becomes a thunderstorm is in its growth phase, you'll get these lance bouts. And again, they form because of boundaries. I'm going to talk about these boundaries momentarily. And then of course you have generic non-supercell tornadoes, which form over land and this is a very broad umbrella term. But typically, as an example, you'll have a QLFS, quasi-linear convective system tornado. That's sometimes those will not be supercellular tornadoes. You'll just have a glob of air spinning because of the way the bow echo on a squall line interacts with the water.
