which is GMC, for tire repair. And they had to replace all four tires because they had, he had thought that they were, well, because of two things. One, I guess, to wear on the tires, but also the age. They said that there was a, supposedly a new law that they had changed it from seven years to five years that they could not remount tires that were more than five years old. So that brought up the thing, was that we thought that maybe California had changed the law which meant that they, any tires that were being repaired that are over five years would have to be replaced. But Corey ended up calling and doing some research on that and said, no, that that was not a law, that it was basically based on the shop recommendation and what their policy was, and that American tires would not change out tires that are more than 10 years old. So that was what the controversy was. Well, it does kind of raise a point. I'm kind of anal-retentive about the tires on my motorhome. When they're six years old, I pull them off and replace them. And you can see that the tread is fine, but the sidewalls are starting to crack a little bit and showing age, and yeah, I cover them up when they're parked out in the sun. Nevertheless, the issue there is safety. You got a bus and what are you running, 30, 40,000 pounds? And I just don't want to take a risk with that big of a beast. On the other hand, my pickup truck, it sits down at the barn, it's out of the sun as well. And those tires are seven, eight, 10 years old and they run fine. So I can understand great frustration. I guess the bottom line to all of this was go to a different shop, right? Beep.
