Anyway, a very expensive way to cool food. We had this thing running 24, 7, 365 since we bought the thing seven years ago. So not surprising that it didn't last very long. Dometic is the brand name, as I'm sure any of you with an RV will probably understand. So I ordered a Magic Chef regular standard AC compressor-based unit. So now I have to go through the process of installing an inverter, installing an AC power switch. I'm putting a couple of spare solar panels on the roof of the RV to charge the batteries in case it's power. And a nice Victron Bluetooth charge controller. So it's a major upgrade.
