And as Jim and a couple others have said, I've used the Dawn and I've used Borax and Calgon, Democazole. The product that I use, I can't think of stupid name over it, it adds to the back period to the tank to keep, I think it's called something digestive or something like that. I just can't remember, but I don't know. This seems to work. The only real problems that I've had with my tank is last year.
