You need to be a ham to use and buy these things, but if you are, then you get access to the Hamlink network right out of the box. If you're not, then you just get the public access network. Which is a 100 channel still of crystal clear digital. Don't get me wrong. It's a lot of fun. But I've been really enjoying it. I've been getting a few friends involved that are not hams just on the public channels too. So I've been really, really getting a lot out of this new mode, new service, whatever you want to call it. But it's pretty cool. The radios are awesome. The audio is crystal clear. And it's North America wide, man. You can't really go wrong with that for unlimited service for push to talk over cellular for literally $30 a year. I mean, where do you get that? You can't even get that on the cell plan for a month with unlimited data service. So this is really, really cool and it's been blowing my mind. If anybody wants any additional information, hit me up.
