And because the side to side is stiff enough, it makes it really hard to get your foot on the little ledge there that holds the mattress in order to climb up to the top bunk. So I figured just getting a regular XL twin or twin XL mattress is the way to go because they'll give me an extra three inches and it'll work out, should work out nicely. And the price is right. 140 bucks can't beat that. Well, probably could, but it looks like this is a fairly decent quality type mattress. It's got enough high reviews, so it's a four out of five.
