I heard the crickets and crouching, so I thought I'd chime in. So I heard Joe, KK7Z, talking about charging his batteries. I just wanted to mention something that's seeing the praises of the old alkaline battery. So back in the day, I used to do a lot of cave exploring. Don't do that anymore, but in a cave, so if you look at the discharge profile of a lithium ion, it's at full power until it drops out. It looks like a step function. But the alkaline battery will discharge slower, and in a cave environment, it's nice to know if your batteries are dying, so you can swap them out and not just be in the dark. You can be descending or ascending a rope or trying to squeeze through a tight passage, and bad time for the light to die. So anyway, just singing the praise of the lowly alkaline battery in its limited use. So that's all I have from a fellow out of Front Range, K0OBX. Back to you, Dale.
