I had intended to use it for field use or were not camping or whatever. I found that the control model for it was a bit quirky. For example the RF gain worked backwards but the real detriment to it is that screen on it. As you just mentioned you need glasses or something. It is definitely not designed for old eyes. Otherwise it seemed to be a pretty good little rig. N6MED.
